Accordion Album

Hey there wonderful Blog land. Today, I am going to share with you an adorable mini album I made using a  Rock Star 6" x 6" mini pack of paper from Best Creation. The mini paper packs are super perfect because they are the EXACT same prints as the standard 12" x 12", but at a smaller scale for your card-making and mini project needs!

Today's project is a mini album using the 6" x 6" paper packs and stickers from the 12" x 12" cardstock sticker sheets.

That's it for me! Hope you're inspired. I'm off to work on submission calls and more fun creative endeavors!

Best Creation + Spellbinders

Happy Friday everyone! It's summer vacation, and that means that all day--everyday I am creating. With no kids, and being a teacher I have plenty of time to play in the office, which I have taken over and made my craft room! Heeheehee.

Today over at Best Creation's blog we've teamed up with Spellbinders to create some really fun projects. Well, I am currently in love with Best Creation's June release of the Rock Star line. This collection is cutting edge, punk, grungy and fun, so I wanted to stick with those themes, and use my die to reinforce it.

I cut the die in half and made it frame my focal point and an embossed part of the card

My Favorite Song is...

Happy Monday friends! I am soo excited to share with you today's project showcasing my all time favorite [to date] collection from Best Creation. Rock Star is SUPER fresh, fun, cutting edge and perfect for men, parties, music, and teens!
Today's project is a layout about my favorite song, which is "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts. I just love the message of this song, and it reminds me of my dear precious soldier niece, who is deploying to Afghanistan. She joined the army to provide a better life and opportunities for herself and her sisters, and is a hero for sacrificing her dreams for the ones she loves. LOVE LOVE LOVE my Brittany.
I went to see Rascal Flatts with my beautiful, cousin Charlotte, six weeks after I got married, and since Rascal Flatts was performing in Texas, we stayed with my amazing in-laws! It was so fun!!

The flower is a gluber rolled with seam binding and bordered
with pom pom trim. I inked the edges of the guitar and pic to make them pop
Mixing alphabet stickers makes this a fresh design

Adding rub on's that work with the paper's design
draws attention to certain parts of the layout.

Etsy Inspired #141--6.18.11--Last Etsy Inspired Challenge

Happy Saturday wonderful Etsy Inspired players! Today is bittersweet, as it marks the very last Etsy Inspired challenge. I have love love loved being a part of this team. It was my first design team, and it's been a whole year since I started.

I can still remember running downstairs to share the good news with my DH that I was picked to be a part of this fabulous team. I have loved stretching myself every week, meeting the most amazing and wonderfully supportive crafting buddies and friends, but also having a place where I could share my work. Not having to design it for an editorial board, a submission call, or anyone....just as I envisioned, just for me. That in itself has been the most liberating and rewarding part of being part of this team. To be able to use materials that I love, and that show who I am as a designer is a wonderful experience, an experience I will miss. So,
I will take this time to thank the gracious De and Ashley and my dear crafting friends Angie, Carole, Emily Jackie, Joy, Kerry, Ruby, Sherry, Stephanie, Virginia, and my dearest friend Savannah. Girls you are awesome, and I will treasure you always.

Now, onto today's shop. We are inspired by Homes and Weddings which sells wine and champagne bottle holders, wine picks, bottle jewelry, wire and place card sigh holders. They're truly fabulous and this week they'll be giving one winner this copper business card holder!!! Oooh! I could so use this!!

So, this week I was [loosely] inspired by the
cream color, scroll work and elegance of this
piece.

Papers and alpha stickers and Jenni Bowlin's

Scroll work design of the inspiration piece is shown in the doily
stamp.

Stamped scroll frame from Jenni Bowlin's June kit

We don't have a sponsor, but our second winner will receive a mystery grab bag of fabulous prizes!!!

So, now it's your last turn to play along. Make sure to visit the design team's blogs to see their BEAUTIFUL projects so that you can get inspired to create a fabulous project of your own! Make sure to post your project to the Etsy Inspired Challenge Blog by Friday, July 1st at noon! Go be Etsy Inspired

Fun with Water!!

Hey there everyone!! This past week has been an awesome plethora of fantabulous projects combining Helmar and Best Creation products! We hope that you have been inspired with what you can do! This week I was asked to create a layout with Splash Fun from Best Creation. The catch was to showcase a creative water technique with the paper! There is so much one can do, but I'm a sucker for focal points, and dimension. So, I decided to create a wave splashing back into water.

Epiphany Crafts epoxies are perfect for bubbles

Making the wave is super easy, all you need to do is cut two strips of Best Creation glitter cardstock, bend into waves and adhere with a strong adhesive like, Helmar Scrap Dots. Then I fussy cut waves, and splashes and you're done! Super easy!

We want to have some giveaways so here is our challenge to you! You can win a huge box of BC goodies just by finding a few things on our layouts listed at the bottom of this page..... and for more fun.... if you love playing "Where's Waldo".... one of our DT has Waldo somewhere on their blogs on Fri & Sat.
