Full Reveal of Penny Arcade Card Kits

Welcome to the full reveal of Studio Calico's card kit, Penny Arcade. This kit is perfect for the warm, summer days of July. The patterned paper is filled with vibrant colors and designs, and the stamps are whimsical and fun.
For my first card, I used the main card kit and digital clouds files that I ran through my silhouette to create a die cut. The brightly colored doily is one of my favorite parts of this kit, so I trimmed it to use in two cards.
I die cut the clouds from cardstock, vellum and patterned paper. In the negative cut-outs I stamped a cloud with Clean Slate ink and backed another with patterned paper. I added some clouds with foam tape for some dimensions and punched some shapes from patterned paper for some bright colors and patterns.
I love the black and white ribbon that comes in the main kit. Mix it with the red doily and you have a striking combination!

I trimmed the doily in half and adhered it to the card base. Then, I die cut the circle, and a smaller circle within it to thread the ribbon through it. Some punched & embossed hearts are layered over the ribbon and card while a sentiment is stamped on a cardstock strip with a vellum banner stapled to it.
This card features the Pinball add-on. I love love love the embellishments in this month's add-on; from alpha stickers and buttons to resin flowers and foil trimmed labels. It makes layering on your cards fun! For this card, I masked a border and inked a light yellow background. Then, I stamped some flowers from the stamp set.
I then trimmed some patterned paper strips, notched the edges and adhered them to the card. I layered a resin flower over the button, atop some twirled string resting on a foil frame with the sentiment, "hello" spelled out with alpha stickers
The minute I saw the stamps in the add-on kit I was head over heals in love…I am obsessed with buildable flower sets, and the flowers in this set were super fun. The card took a bit to make with all the heat embossing (one flower at a time), but it was worth it. I stamped the "inside" of the flowers on cardstock one by one and then heat embossed the flower outlines. To control the embossing powder from going everywhere, I used a q-tip to gently wipe away excess powder.
I adhered some folded ribbon underneath a foiled label and stamped a sentiment on a die cut vellum circle.
And, finally this card uses the additional stamp set, Churros which you're going to want to snatch up FAST! It s a cute little stamp set with fun punny sentiments featuring pears and tomatoes

I stamped the pears in two colors, one color for the bottom of the pear and then Coral Bay for the top, making sure it slightly overlapped the ink on the bottom so that it looked blended. I then twisted the string into a heart and stapled it to the card.
