Etsy Inspired #127--2.19.11

Happy Saturday! I am soo excited! As this blog entry posts, I am on a plane to visit my hubby for a week in D.C. In the past month, I have only seen him for three days so I am stoked to have a week with him! This week's shop is Claylicious which offers functional and decorative pottery. From this shop one of this week's winner will receive this cute owl desk buddy

Our sponsor this week is Your Next Stamp which sells digi stamps, stamping supplies, paper and embellishments. They'' be providing our second winner a $10 gift voucher to be used in their store!

This week I was inspired by the cute, clean tree and design of  this little dish.

I used a kraft base and paper pieced these adorable trees with a stamp
set that my dear friend, and fellow EIC DT member, Savannah gave me. I LOVE this set.

So, now it's your turn to play along. Make sure to visit the design team's blogs to see their BEAUTIFUL projects  so that you  can get inspired to create a fabulous project of your own! Make sure to post your design to the Etsy Inspired Challenge Blog by Friday, February 25th at noon!

Best Creation-Travel Mini Projects

Hey there everyone! As a new member of the Best Creation Card Design team I will be sharing posts on friday here and at the  Best Creation blog . This week the DT made all sorts of AMAZING creations using the new line, Travel Forever and I decided to make a couple small projects.

First up is a mini album that showcases my trip to CHA Winter.
This paper has a lot of versatility. For the front cover, I painted the edges for a rustic look
Distressed papering and layering stickers adds life to memorabilia
 such as this boarding pass.

So many GREAT patterns even small bits of paper add a 'POP!'
Lot's of fun goodies frame a picture of the Gals from the Glue

Next up is a Valentine's Day frame that I made for my husband. He is currently working in D.C. so
we don't see each other a lot, but I thought this would be the perfect
paper collection to fit in his room and remind him of me.

That's it for me! Hope you can get your hands on this collection! It's sooo much fun!

Best Creation Blog Hop

Hello Everyone! This is my first post as a member of Best Creation's Design Team. We are having our First Blog Hop of the new season today and our theme is "Creating Handmade Spring Flowers" On each blog you will find lots of incredible projects and ways to create and use spring flowers that you can make yourself!

In order to win our Grand Prize be sure and collect the kinds of flowers made on each blog and send the list to teresa@bestcreation.us. Also be sure and leave comments along your way on each of our D.T.'s. blogs and especially on the Best Creation blog at the end of the hop. Be sure and check out the  Best Creation Blog  for the list of prizes you are going to win.

I decided to pull out some flower dies from Spellbinders to make a layered die flower from a variety on Best Creations paper, cardboard and some fabric.

To make this flower follow these easy steps below the picture:

Directions for the Layered Die Flower
1. Die cut two large flowers, one from patterned paper and one from coordinating fabric.
2. Die cut a smaller die from cardboard and paint the cardboard with some Glimmerz.
3. Die cut two more smaller flowers from patterned paper.
4. Ink edges of all die cut patterned paper flowers and crumple flowers. Unroll and shape as desired.
5. Layer the flowers as shown here, pierce a hole through the center, and push a brad through to secure all components.
6. Affix flower center.

That's it for me!! Please make sure that you leave a comment on each DT member's page to show some love, and a comment on the  Best Creation Blog You came from Katarina's blog and now you're headed to the next stop on this hop which is Karen

Paper Vineyard-February 7 2011

Hey there everyone!!  It's Paper Vineyard time!! Paper Vineyard is a scrapbook store located in Chandler, Arizona and the design team will feature cards, layouts and other paper-crafted projects showcasing fabulous products that you can find in their store!

This week we were asked to make a Valentine's Day project. I wanted to challenge myself to make a card that could be given to a man, so I used red, white and black colors scheme.

To make the blended background, I mixed white and black pigment ink
with a blending sponge.
The colors are simple and the design isn't too froo-froo so I
could give this card to a man (incidentally, I made it for my friend, who
is giving it to her boyfriend)

You can visit Paper Vineyard's blog to see my designs along with the other amazing team member's fantastic creations. Remember, Paper Vineyard sells the fabulous product that you see here, so check them out!

What was showcased at CHA Winter was their new product which includes Acrylic backs that are vintage, colorful and fun!
