About Me

Welcome, I am so happy that you're here. Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog, and to learn a little more about me. Take your shoes off, stay a while and enjoy Emily Branch Designs.

Emily Branch Designs is paper-crafting blog dedicated to sharing ideas with crafters at all skill levels. Whether you're a beginning crafter or a looking to try new things, Emily Branch Designs is here to share fresh and new approaches to paper-crafting and DIY projects and offer valuable tips you won't find anywhere.

Emily Branch Designs began in 2010 as a blog devoted to sharing my card designs and home decor projects. But, since then Emily Branch Designs has become a great place for crafters to come for inspiration, ideas, and easy-to-learn tutorials on a range of projects including card-making, gift wraps and trims, scrapbooking and paper-crafted home decor. The goal of Emily Branch Designs is to offer ideas and inspiration to help you "branch out" of your creative comfort zone, and try something new and fabulous. Emily Branch Designs  strives to provide a place for crafters of all skill levels to come and be inspired. "Art inspires art," so I hope that you will be inspired to create after visiting Branch Out Designs.

Beginning January of 2013, Emily Branch Designs is pleased to feature new content such as video series aimed at sharing with you the trendiest techniques and expertise on a range of crafting-related topics, interactive posts where you can provide input on a range of topics; and finally, product features, where I will take the coolest products in the hobby & crafting industry, and show you creative and new ways to design with them.

I adore crafting everyday, I simply can't get enough of it! When I'm not crafting, I'm teaching middle school students creative genius in ceramics and introductory art. My husband and I live with our little bird, Mr. Green in sunny California, where I have over-taken the "office" with all things creative! I adore vintage items, turn-of-the-century design and have a profound love affair with modern design of the early 20th century. My background and education in art history & design mix together with my affinity for vintage goods to create a happy hybrid that shows through in my work.
