Avocado Arts + Wintery Gift Boxes

Hey there friends! Today the whole Pit Crew from Avocado Arts will be sharing projects with you! It's a sneak peak day, so we use stamps from the current month's set, which is Very Merry Season, and mix it with a sneak from next month's set, which you're going to love!
Today's project are wintery stamped gift boxes that you can used for gift giving this year!
The boxes were super easy to make. I die cut them using my Silhouette and stamped on them while they were flat.

I love the Christmas tree from Very Merry Season, so I stamped it repeatedly on the box die cut. I then snuck in some snowflakes from next month's set, and mixed in some snowflakes from Brrr! And the Nerdy Snow Peeps set.

I added some sequins to the trees to give them some sparkle, mixing in other little fun trims like tinsel, pearls and a chipboard snowflake.

This box was also made with a cut file and a sneaky little penguin peaking at you! I mixed  in the snowman from Brrr! And the Nerdy Snow Peeps, dressed him up and added a dusting of tinsel glitter to make them look wintery!

So, as mentioned on the Avocado Arts facebook page, were having a giveaway of three adorable little mini sets! Make sure to leave a comment on each Pit Crew blog for a chance to win! Winners will be picked randomly on and announced on the blog and facebook page. Here's what you could win!

Well, that's it for me today! Make sure to stop by the other Pit Crew blogs for amazingly creative and inspiring ideas!

Avocado Arts + Winter Whimsy

Hey there friends! Here to share with you the newest release from Avocado Arts Very Merry Season. Plus, I'll be sharing some sneaks of pages from my December Daily Album that feature stamps from Avocado Arts.

The tree stamp that comes in this set is so perfectly vintage and nostalgic to me. I love the shape, and wanted to show it off in this card, so I decided to stamp it three times using blue and green inks, that coordinated with the patterned paper.

I totally adore the snowflakes from last year's Christmas set,  Brrr! And the Nerdy Snow Peeps. So, I stamped the snowflakes to make it look like their cascading down onto the trees. I added some tinsel and looped twine through it, along with some wood veneer  and die cut snowflakes

Now for some pages from my December Daily that feature some Avocado Arts stamps!
This is the first page of my album, and I used the tree stamp from  Very Merry Season, affixing sequin ornaments to it. I plan on adding some instagram photos of my DH and I deocrating the tree this year.

This page has a pocket in it to store journaling and ephemera. I stamped a banner string and bells from this month's release Very Merry Season.

I stamped a journaling card with the "Christmas" stamp from the Very Merry Season set The card already had the word, "Merry" on it, so I finished off the sentiment with "Christmas."

On this page, I created a collage of Christmas candy treats withs stamps from the Bring On the Holiday Cheer set

Well, that's it for me today! Make sure to visit the rest of today's crew to see the fabulousness that they've come up with!

Tis the Season Card

Please vote for my card at the Paper Crafts Connections blog

Hey there friends! I am super excited today. One of my cards is up in the Paper Crafts Magazine reader's choice poll. The reader's choice poll allows the reader to choose content to appear in the print publication! It's super fun and interactive, because for the poll, you ge to play along and be an submissions editor!
The Designer's challenge that you'll be voting on is which card showcases a cool use of items found in the kitchen. I chose to ink toothpicks with neon ink, and then use the toothpicks to create a backgound! If my card is chosen, it will be published in the May/June 2013 issue.

Please vote for my card and check out other beautiful cards in this category here.
    Thanks!

SEI + Candle Decor

First off, I just want to say thank you to the wonderful women who left comments on yesterday's post. Your kind words and caring thoughts touched my heart. My dear hubby made a pact with his colleagues tom make this 24 day trip to Africa, a two-week trip so their families aren't alone too long. He even went out with me tonight and we bought a tree. Were going to have our annual "Christmas home decorating weekend" this weekend (usually, we do it on Black Friday) complete with Egg Nog, Christmas movies and special times. I am blessed. Majorly. With wonderful ladies to offer support and kind thoughts, to a dear husband who knows how important making memories are, I am feeling better.

So, with that, today's project is a Thankful Candle holder idea. A fun and easy gift to give to anyone in your life that you are thankful for. From your mom who buys all her greeting cards from you, to your husband who gave you more than half the office for your crafting space, let this candle let them know that you're grateful and appreciative of them. This is also a perfect gift to give to a new neighbor to welcome them to the neighborhood, just change the sentiment.

This is such a fun and easy gift to make! I was inspired by SEI's new collections, Mirelle and Entrada.I die cut two circles from Gems and Albertine Rift and tied natural twine bow around them, adhering it all to the lid. I then stamped a sentiment on a tag from the Mirelle collection's Autumn Potpourri. Do't forget to embellish the tag with some fun paper like, Patanal Grassland and  Albertine Rift  from Entrada. I inked a leaf from the Homestead collection, and added a jewel leaf sprig for some fun and texture. Clip the tag, leaf and sprig to the twine and voila--you've got the lid covered!

The bottom wrap was just as easy to put together! I cut strips of  Patanal Grassland from Entrada and Goblet from Mirelle , inked them and them wrapped them around the candle. The new releases from SEI are perfectly fabulous for combining together. Try it for yourselves!
