Etsy Inspired #102--8.21.10

Hello everyone! Happy Saturday morning, welcome to another Etsy challenge. I am really excited to share with you this week's shop Art and Philanthropy.   This shop creates funky and colorful recycled collage art and prints geared for children. I especially liked the prints featuring Russian nesting dolls, owls, birds and trees. Here are my favorites from this week's shop.

What I was inspired by the most were the shop's funky designs, with bright colors and use of recycled material. So, for this week's challenge I decided to incorporate two criteria into my designs. My first criteria was the use of cardboard (my recycled material) and the second criteria was to only use paper and materials that I had on hand. So, here are the three cards that I designed for the challenge; the first card was my inspiration and the card following is my design.

So, now it's your turn to play. Visit our shop for the week,  Art and Philanthropy  and choose a work to create your inspiration piece on. Make sure to post your creation to Etsy Inspired Challenge Blog by Friday! One lucky winner can win an 8"x10" print of their choice from the shop, and another winner will win a $10 gift voucher from this week's sponsor Digi Doodle Shop to use on anything in her shop.

Make sure to take a look at the beautiful and amazing work of the Etsy Design Team to help inspire you! Ashley is moving this week, so she won't be able to make a post, but do check out our other designs and have fun! Looking forward to see what y'all come up with!
